How will the roof tent be attached to your vehicle?
There are two solutions:
PLEASE NOTE: We absolutely need this information at least 10 days before your departure after booking a roof tent rental.
Car with longitudinal roof bars |
They go from the front to the rear of the vehicle, there are 2 types:
Car equipped with fixing points |
There are no visible roof bars, the attachment is at the level of the doors to "clip" additional roof bars with a cover.
Unequipped car: without longitudinal bars or fixing points |
In this type of case, there is a solution that allows you to attach roof bars to the door seal, make no mistake, this system is just as resistant as the other options.
Your vehicle and roof rack must allow a minimum dynamic (driving) load capacity of 75 kg (165 lb).
For tents with a weight capacity greater than 75 kg (165 lbs), the maximum weight capacity for the stand and vehicle must be equal to or greater than the weight of the tent.
For applications involving all brands of roof racks, consult the vehicle owner's manual, registration document (F.2) or roof rack for maximum weight capacity. Woody's camp cannot guarantee the compatibility of other roof racks or their load capacities.
The capacity of the tent in service with people inside (static weight) may exceed the dynamic weight capacity of the stand partially supported by the ladder.
The weight capacity of the tent is indicated for each tent. As a guide, it is possible to use 3 times the capacity of the roof support in static mode (including roof support and tent).
