Yes, the roof is strong enough to accommodate a roof tent . A distinction must be made between dynamic and static loads. The dynamic load corresponds to the permissible load of the vehicle in motion. The static load corresponds to the permissible load of the vehicle when stationary. Dynamic loads are generally between 50 and 100 kg. Our tent weighs 51 kg. Therefore, you must ensure that your roof supports a dynamic load of at least 70 kg to be at peace. It is important to know that when stationary, the roof structure supports the weight of an overturned car.

In the open position, the tent measures 165 cm wide, 240 cm long and 126 cm high. The mattress integrated into the tent is distributed over the entire surface. In the closed position, the tent measures 165 cm wide, 125 cm long and 29 cm high.

There is no minimum height. If your vehicle is over 2.1 our ladder is suitable up to 3m in height.
Can the roof tent be easily removed from my car ?

What to do if the roof tent gets wet? Can it still be folded?
Yes. However, we recommend that you dry it as soon as possible. Do not leave the tent wet for more than 48 hours. Otherwise, there is a risk of mold developing on the fabric.
Open the window in hot weather. The tent is well ventilated thanks to four large openings on the sides and on the roof allowing good ventilation. Otherwise, choose places in the shade.

The shape of our tent is designed to be as aerodynamic as possible. Consumption can increase by 5 to 10%, depending on driving speed and engine power.
Is it possible to attach a tent to a van / sedan ?

Wild camping is prohibited in France (and in most European countries) on roads, paths, coasts, forests , etc.
However, sleeping in a rooftop tent is classed as 'motorhome camping', not wild camping . Unlike caravans and motorhomes, you can stay anywhere as long as parking allows overnight.
