420D : THE "D" means the word “denier ” which has become the standard for measuring density. For polyester and cotton, for example, 210D is a lightweight fabric while 900D East a polyester ultra-resistant. ( There measurement starts at 210D , 300D , 420D , 600D , up to 900D THE maximum )
This measurement is used for many fabrics, such as nylon, silk, etc. Our roof tent is in the average densities used for tents , tarpaulins and high wind which provides the necessary resistance to bad weather in Europe .
Rip Stop fabrics : tissue anti-tear”, THE ripstop is a fabric shaped into a mesh : designed to ensure its resistance and prevent the extension of a possible tear. . It can be 100% cotton or synthetic, for our tent, it is designed in a polyester and cotton alloy .
Thickness 280GSM or 280G / M² : This term means the thickness of the fabric per m², in our case the roof tent is in the average of the classic weight on the market and of our competitors combined.
PU coating 3000MM (or water pressure) : high quality PU waterproof coating quality:
The MM indicates the amount of mm of water pressure a tent can receive before letting water through, the same example when you are sheltered in a tent on a rainy day. ( not of luck ) , when you push on the tent and apply strong pressure from the inside, this can tend to stretch the mesh of the canvas and allow water to seep in.
We have synthesized the average of water pressure resistances:
0 to 800 mm: water repellent but not waterproof
800 up to 5,000 mm: waterproof. If someone or something is pressed against the tent too hard, it can let water in.
5,000 to 15,000 mm: waterproof and different kinds of pressure.
In short, our roof tent is waterproof and large enough to give you enough space inside if you have to face the rain so as not to lean on the edges.
UV50+ sun protection: there This tent's fabric has SPF 50+ protection, and blocks up to 99% of the sun's harmful rays (UVA and UVB ) , you can find these same indicators on sunscreens.

Mattress thickness: The mattress included in your tent is 6CM, most car tents cannot exceed this thickness to respect an optimal dimension once closed, when camping and especially in camper vans , it is often advisable to opt for a mattress between 10 and 15cm thick, apart from the density or firmness which come as a second criterion , the roof tent will not offer you the comfort of a camper van, the adventure would be less nomadic, however your mattress offers the necessary comfort to spend a good night which will be even better than an inflatable mattress on the ground, nothing prevents you if you are attached to comfort ++ from adding an inflatable mattress topper or even a memory foam mattress ( more bulky) .
Mattress density 30 : The density of the mattress will depend mainly on the ratio to the weight of the person who will sleep on it.
Density 30 corresponds to 30KG per M3 , don't get me wrong, this does not mean that if you do more than 30kg the mattress will not meet your expectations, this is the meaning of standards in the world of mattresses , you can find bed mattresses with a thickness of 20cm and a density of 35kg/m3, you will still sleep very well there.
HAS Note that in addition to the density 30, your roof tent mattress contains a reinforcement plate to ensure additional comfort, because the nomadic lifestyle does not prevent you from spending a good night under the stars.
